The Collaborative for Higher Education is a partnership of the three public higher education systems lead by San Jose State University, UC Santa Cruz, and the Foothill-DeAnza Community College District.

Formed in the summer of 2000 by President Robert Caret, Dr. M.R.C. Greenwood, and Dr. Leo Chavez, the Collaborative creates a model of higher education working together with a seamless delivery of educational services in sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

The NASA Research Park is an important partner with the Collaborative and will ultimately provide the physical space for a joint Collaborative building.
